The Little Black Dress

We often get told that our ruffle tunic dress is a favorite amongst the little girls. I mean the buttery soft jersey makes us swoon too!  Even still, dressing your little babe can be challenging. Especially when they have a favorite. Its the one piece in your child's closet that she ALWAYS wants to wear, and its black. Its fashionable, its comfortable, but how many different ways can you really help style her little black dress? 

One of the greatest things I have discovered as a childrenswear designer, is that their tiny personalities show through, and if you pay close attention, their style starts to develop pretty early on. It's makes fashion even more fun, especially when your mini me chimes in on her favorite colors, or selects what accessories she wants to wear for they day. Often times, wanting to match you. Maybe it's just me, but I remember spending countless hours in my mothers closet dressing up, and it was a highlight of my childhood. Even though I couldn't be older than 4 or 5, I knew what I wanted to wear, and my mother encouraged me to express myself so much so that here I am, 25 + years later, designing and creating for children to express themselves!
